Creating a Second Partition
Just did some looking on PcUser.com.au, and some guy recommended using FDisk to create a partition. Can I use this on WinXp Pro?
Can I delete the old partition again easily?
Secondly, are there any good, free Os's available... preferably small download... (Download limit ) around?
Thanks in Advance.

I assume WinXP uses NTFS? Well, I've had some trouble with using FDisk on NTFS systems....

I have had not problems with FDisk and NTFS on a clean format, is that what you mean? There are also programs like Partition Magic that can do things like this.

So I can use that? Will I need to have the format the whole drive first?

partition magic will allow you to make new partitions *on the fly* without data loss, there are some freeware solutions that achieve the same result - try starting at http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-...ml?tag=lst-0-1
