Windows XP limiting internet speed?
On my windows XP machine the internet seems to be painfully slow, but on my windows 98 machine it goes way faster.
Any ideas why this might happen?

Yes, I know everything.
Wait... No... I don't
This would be dependent on so many things.
Like...
how you connect!
inclusive of:
dsl/cable/dial-up
modem, modem type
modem connection to pc
drivers
etc.

do one thing disable all the different protocols in the network properties exept the tcp/ip. I guess atleast this will increase your internet speed.
if you have got any other viable solution do let me inform that also
