setting up an asp.net page on another server

ok I have an internal server and I want to set up asp.net pages from another computer on our network. So I went to new project and I entered in the IP number of the server, but that doesn't work. I have iis setup on the server, I even tried creating a shared directory and accessing that, but that didn't work either. Can someone who has done this before give me some suggestions?

I believe you have to have IIS setup on the development machine also. Also its easier if you 'make' the project initially from the development machine also.
