Question Windows XP New Visual Styles

I'm using the Beta 2 (Build 2469) of Windows XP and want to test my app with the new visual styles.

I created a manifest file as specified, but when I run my app, it doesn't starts and I hear an error sound .

    I'm using these controls:
    - Microsoft Common Dialog Control 6.0
    - Microsoft Tabbed Dialog Control 6.0
    - Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0
    - Microsoft Winsock Control 6.0

Has anyone any experience with the new visual styles of win xp and visual basic ?

    Greetings,

Most likely you have the InitCommonControls statement in the Form Load subroutine than in the Initialize routine.

Hey cool, thanks for the fast answer
It took only exactly 1 and a half year
    ... just kidding *g*

But you are right, meanwhile I also found out that I have to call the InitCommonControls function to apply the new visual styles.
