Registry Key for location
Is there a registry key that can be read that tells a computer's location (e.g. default country).
How do I read this?

I think it's here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\sCountry

I've seen it there on both XP Pro and Win2k...
Don't mean to sound harsh, but it's time for you to upgrade away from Win98...it's two releases out of current production.

I use it as a development machine to ensure backward compatibility so I need to be able to support it the function on this platform
XP Pro and Win2k should be the same as one another for this (and NT). 98 and ME are likely to be similar to one another.

Have you attempted to search your registry?
