why wont it play ??
i have some divx files, but they wont play windows media player tries to get the codecs but they don't help, the video plays but not the audio
any one any clues or any codecs that will help the situation ??

goto divx.com and manually download and isntall the latest divx drivers.

done that and it still wont play the sound part!!

is it wmp9 beta? after a while the sound stopped on that, look on google groups, i forgot exactly where, but search for like "wmp 9 beta no sound", and i found a fix for it

Doesn't Wmp9 have a thing that stops u from playing downloaded music? (the illegal stuff...)

What you speak of is DRM(digital rights management) it's old news, and can be disabled.
Although, in the EULA, they have the right to 'update' your files as they deem fit, and who knows what they could change.

no i am not using wmp9 i have tried it in wmp8, mplayer2, realplayer, theplayer. and non of them will play the audio of the file!!
