    Looking for a very cheap & cheerfull laptop

    Anyone know where i can get a laptop for the lowest possible price? All i want to use it for is basically to transfer data, from my uni's network to my computer. (CDRW's and floppy disck are too annoying....) The laptop doesn't neet to be fast, it just needs to work.

    That would be simpler, but we're not allowd to plug stuff like that onto the network.

    Um.. in the branded sector that is... I know that Dell's got Laptops out for $889...

    HP has also RECENTLY come out with $849 laptops.
