With most ISPs nowadays, your IP is server-assigned when you log on, so it will change every time anyway. If your ISP doesn't have dynamic IP allocation then I suggest you either change ISPs to one that does, or use some kind of spoofing utility that disguises what people see when they look at your IP address. How they write them I don't know.

Depends...if you are on a unix box then it is possible to spoof the ip. But with windows it's nearly imposible...if you have a dial up account then your ip changed everytime you log on, but if you have cable/dsl then you are assigned a certain ip that stays with you untill the expiry of a lease (usualy 2 days) so if you want a new ip with cable/dsl simply check the lease expiry date in winipcfg.exe and dissconnect you modem cables for aprox. 2 days that will tell that the isp that your ip is free again and they will assign it to another person as for you...you will get a new one next time you log on.
If you ARE on a unix box, i can't explain how to do it b/c i do not have a box by me...but if you search hard enough you will find many places that explain it.

DSL/Cable = Proxy
Most likely you are using cable/dsl which both use proxies to recieve website data and all that. So when you visit some pages, one of them says your Proxie's IP and some other ones download the script to your hardrive and run it off your hardrive which gets your IP from your computer!
DOES THIS HELP???
Visual Basic 6.0
Visual C++ 5
Delphi 5

I think what you are talking about is a proxy you can specify one in the options of your web browser. A proxy will change your ip on the port that you specify (8080) would be when you visit websites, 1080 would be on icq and so forth. If you need more info then e-mail me (email below).
