Thread: What was used to make IE and Netscapse?

    Does anyone know what language and what compiler was used to make IE and Netscape? The reason i want to know is cuz Im trying to learn Visual C++, but if microsoft doesnt even use it to write Apps, why should i?

    Knowing Microsoft, they probably used their own special version of C++ or VB that has 10 times more features and none of the bugs

    To be honest it would be C with possibly bits of ASM thrown in where needed... The Browser control in VB is as far as I know the actual Engine IE uses to display its pages.

    You know they added way more features to there programming languages to do there task. A lot of common procedures they where like hell yeah put it in Visual Basic Micro14.0 hehe.... You would think it would actually get to the public though, everything else does. Wonder if they do got something like that running around?
