Can anyone recommend a good vb.net training guide (Self Study) for the MCSD?

i personally haven't "Yet" but we have it at my work and my colleagues have used it and were impressed, sorry i couldn't be of more help

I have the book, and I am in the process of studying it now. The book is OK, but it skimps on a lot of detail if you ask me. It will probably serve its purpose though because you will want to go on your own and completely understand the material. Most example code is limited to 2 to 5 lines in the book. I haven't checked out the CD yet though.

I've read both "Developing Windows Based Applications with etc." and Developing Web Applications wtih etc." and Balena's core reference (Programming Visual Basic.Net).
The windows apps book is a bit on the thrifty side wheras the web one is excellent even having some material I would consider uneccessary for the exam. I would suggest you consider reading both of these and top it off with Balena's excellent massive tome on the subject that should prepare you well for those 2 exams. I read Balena first but I would deffinately have benefited from reading the more basic training books first. I plan to buy the Web Services/Component Services book but haven't yet.
