Cool; I've heard some awesome stuff about the 8MB versions. But the 2MB is pretty good, I booted off a Maxtor 80 gig 7200 with 2MB cache at one point...pretty fast

It rocks.
I bought the same HD a few months ago, but it's the special edition 8mb Cache WD. Not the worst hard disk i've had...
Still prefer Seagate's drive. In total, i now have 192 hard drives. Ok, so 182 are ready for sale, but the other 10 are mine. LOL
They all range from standard 100gb 5400RPM to U160 SCSI's. I have had 2 80gb 7200RPM Seagates fail on me, losing nearly 120gb of data in the process. Luckly, the server had backed up all the data via the 10mb Leased Line, pheeeeew !
I won't buy cheap hard disks, like maxtor, they are c**p. Stick to IBM / WD / SEAGATE. Only trouble being the minimum of 5000 when i import. Need more capital, LMAO
Do you find your WD fails on a butterfly seek test? Mine does on occasions...
