I am at school right now, and I found that if you type ":80" (minus the quotes) after the address, you can get into ANY site you want. For Example, type http://www.hotmail.com:80 to get into hotmail.I think that this only works in Internet Explorer. Use Carefully !!

you are allowed to goto START, RUN. or if your school really sucks, you can open NETSCAPE or IE and goto my computer from there type in:
for ie:
c:\
for Netscape:
file:\\\c:\
or
file:///c:/
that will lead you to drive c
from there you can do all the damage you feel like (this goes to mostly US residents who have win95/98 with iditos as Computer Teachers)

Fortress
my school has a program called fortress. You can only go on to a couple desktop items. If you click the start menu, it asks you to shut down the computer!!!
My middle school had Apple IIEs. Now that sucks!! The only useful thing for a mac is to do graphic work. But thats my oppinion.

In my opinion, macs just flat out SUCK!!!!! I HATE them!! All I can do at my school is go onto the internet, some word processing, and make a very simple spreadsheet. Some of that is still too hard for some kids at my school. And the internet is so slow.

Monday Morning Lunatic
sdennett - we've got that. Although I managed to get round it by bringing in a Word 97 document with all the registry functions in it as a macro...let destruction commence. I also put the con\con thingie into some of the Startup folders , because our technician is bored all day and needs something to do!
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

Novell sucks!
Our skool uses win95, they are networked with Novell,
and it sucks bigtime!!
its good for me, but bad for them,
sometimes novell lets things "slip through"
some times i am able to access C:\, the Run Dialog, the internet, the control panel, and the settings dialog(right click the desktop, click properties)
and sometimes I am not able to access any of it.

The college I attend has the most restrictive security ever!
You can't use any programs not enabled in your policy.
You can't access the RUN option in the start menu.
You can't access a shitload of the stuff in \Windows.
On the upside, it does have a Sattelite Internet link! 10mb will download in about 3 mins!
