Dream Theater

Im a big Dream Theater fan, but they dont get any radio play down here in So Cal. So i want to know who of you out there are DT fans? And whats your fav CD, song, band member, etc...

My CD would be "Once in a LiveTime"
Song, either "Take The Time" or "Voices"

I've head a lot of their stuff but it was about 5 years ago and I can't remember any song names - but they were pretty good.

We cant be the only 2 who have heard them!?!?!?!?!

But the funny thing is ...i never heard one song from them!!

i play the drums.... and i remember once i got a cd somehow i forgot how..but it had a sketch of the drummer of DT (Forgot his name) playing his drumset...

i dunno...it just seems like his style of drumming is to "Technical" ...it just dont seem like he has much feeling into it.. even though he is a good drummer.

There's a huge difference in feeling the drums and just knowing how to play a double paradiddle, or a half note, or a offtime beat, or a buzz note... there's gotta be feeling to it.

Oh man, you want feeling, Mike Portnoy is full of feeling. Man he is great, and definitly one of the best in the world. And if you ever saw him play live youd know how much he gets into it.

I suggest listening to Take The Time. That shows off the whole band pretty good.
