Hi,
I know that this is not the FORUM but may be someone know the answer.
I lost the ability to give an access to my hard drive - (SHARE to my hard drive),I try the right click on the drive, and the SHARE is gone, the same results in the MyComputer properties.
I think it is realted to some entry's in the Registy?
Any Idea??
Thanks And Apologies

You lost the ability???
What did you do to your computer to lose it?
The feature I believe exists when you are in a situation where you are actually networking... So if you don't have any network protocols installed or even "Client for Microsoft networks" then it doesn't show up as a tab.
Try the "Net Use" DOS command or figure out the "WNetAddConnection2" API call.

Hi,
What i did not say is that - my administrator remove the ability to SHARE the Drive, and that is to Delete the ability of transfer files between 2 computers in our network.

Hello there,
Goto the control panel and open the Network.
Click on the "Add" button,
then click on "Service",
then click on "File and Printer Service Sharing for Microsoft Networks"
Ok your way out and reboot the machine. You should be good to go from there.
Hope this helps,

Ok so let me get this straight.
Your administrator took this feature away from you and now you want to HACK into your system to put it back?
If it was taken away from you then it was for a good reason so unfortunately I am not in the habit of helping people screw up machines that don't belong to them when someone has specifically tried to stop the person from doing something in the first place.
What is your administrators email address... I'll give him a hoi

You will have to ask your Admin to fix that then.

Gen-X,
Sometimes People like to know how to do things NOT FOR HACK - if that what u have in mind all the time, Some people like to know for informational purposes and not Malicious purpose.

I'd like to know for "informational purposes" how to kill a thousand people with a nuclear bomb.
Oh I don't want to do it of course.. but sometimes people want to know things for information purposes.
I think you get the hint that SOME things have no other purpose than to cause trouble and vandalism and getting around something your Administrator has SPECIFICALLY placed to block you has absolutely no "informational value" other than subterfuge.

Actually it was from a conference on Computer and Internet Security, common knowledge among the majority of System Administrators and Webmasters and also common sense.
Unless you can provide a perfectly reasonable and plausible reason why you would legitimately want to countermand the specific instigations of your Administrator your lack of an answer will be clear evidence of your intent.
