somethingweird about my connection
After a while (I dunno how long...depends), the internet on this computer just craps out when trying to contact domains. But it works fine on my linux box and win2k box, just this computer, and reboot fixes it
I have DSL with a Cable/DSL router for the other 3 computers
Any ideas?

What do you mean the "internet craps out" (I can assure you the internet is working just fine )? We need details, your OS, etc.

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Craps out meaning it just times out, I can't ping sites. Like maybe I can access one site, but not another...but the site I can't access I can access on another computer on my network

most likely a poor connection with your ISP. Who is your ISP and what is your bandwidth? If you give me your IP i'd try pinging it

Sounds like a possible DNS server problem.
Any firewalls on the xp box? Or a NAT?

...
Is it not possible that a re-boot does not, in fact, fix this?
And that during the time taken to re-start/switch comps the DNS of the website you're trying to view sorts itself out?
Sounds crazy, but there we go.
