(IE5.5 sp2) I can't use it as my FTP client anymore. **Resolved**
ARRGH! I had problems with IE dissapearing but that seems to be ok now. I uninstalled & reinstalled...ect. But now I cannot view my FTP in file mode... the option to turn it on is no longer there...
What gives?!?

Same thing happened to me. I took the easy way out though and used Netscape instead.

You could try upgrading to IE6. It has the option to turn on the ftp thingy. It still won't work on mine but you might have more luck.

So Unbanned
I suggest the FTP client LeechFTP.
Small, free, features galore.

I went for "add a component" and tried to add that, but it says I already have it.
Yet ftp doesn't work... all I get is the ftp icon in the address textbox and it won't open.

Is "Enable Folder View For FTP Sites" under the advanced tab in internet options checked? (my problem was that it was not there at all)
