I have Win2k Pro on my machine and when starting it asks to boot Win2k or MS-Dos. I want Win2k of course, which is default, but it waits 30 seconds before loading it. I know there is a file in which you can set this interval but I can't find it anywhere. Can someone please tell me where it is located?
Tnx,
MK

Well, I lied. I do have Windows, but it's XP and it's only there in case I want to play any games. Normally it stays unused, and I can't be bothered to go into it.

To get back to the main subject: I've searched my pc for Boot.ini, but I can't find it. Even not when all hidden files are show. (Did I mention I have Win2k Pro? )
But thanks everyone, the problem has been solved with config.sys
Btw, Parksie, I want to install Linux, is Mandrake 8.1 a good one? or should I take Red Hat or SuSe?
I'm on Mandrake 9 and I'm very happy with it. I also like Suse, Debian, and Gentoo (in that order). Actually mandrake is inbetween SuSE and Debian, but SuSE 8.1 wasn't out at the time I wanted it
