To answer your question:
Make sure to set the listbox's OLEDropMode property to 1(Manual)
Add a ListBox to your form
put the following code in:

Private Sub List1_OLEDragDrop(Data As DataObject, Effect As Long, Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)
Dim text As String
text = Data.GetData(vbCFText)
List1.AddItem text
End Sub
