Thread: Ani-Gif´s ?

    Unhappy

    When I play animated Gif´s,they are allway´s flicker!
    (I play them in a VB Image with transparent Background)
    What can i do?
    If you have Link´s about this,tell it to me.

    How do you play an animated gif in an Image control???????
    Do you mean that you're creating an animation by changing the Picture property of the image.
    In that case you'll get flickering because the Image control is windowless and VB draws the picture directly to the form.
    So if you change the picture in the Image control VB has to clear the form and redraw the picture.

    I pulled a control call Gif89a from somewhere. It's a dll that allows you animated gifs on your forms in VB. I tested it with one gif to see if it did work and it seems ok. Hard to tell when you only flick one gif through it but it loads etc. If you want a copy email me and I will send it to you and if you want the writers email it's this. There is no source code supplied.
