I read description for the 175 test at the Micro$oft webber and it sounds just like the 176 to me. Has anyone here taken both tests? Can ya brief me on what the general differences would be?
Also, when it comes to hiring, what difference does an MCP vs. nonMCP in VB make?
Thanks.

I have taken neither test, but have been looking into taking the tests myself so have been reading the info.
176 is Designing and implementing DESKTOP Apllications with VB 6.0 whereas 175 is Designing and implementing DISTRIBUTED Apllications with VB 6.0.
The main difference as far as I can tell is that 176 is for apps that will run primarily on 1 computer, 175 is for apps running over a network (eg the internet?)
I have no idea waht difference MCP would make to employment chances, but I hear that MCSD can add 10-20K pa. (this is just what I've heared from speaking to various people, it is not substantiated in any way)
