Help needed with TV Card interfacing
Hi,
I have bought a tv tuner card. Only problem is that the software that comes with it does not work on my os. So I want to right my own.
My problem is that I don't know where to start. I have the card installed and I have installed the drivers. I downloaded a trial program called windvr. I get a picture using this software. So I know the card and its drivers are working correctly.
Now I need to know how to receive input from the card and then, how to display it. I am not fussed about code language, I am prepared to learn the language I need.
Any help including links will be appreciated!

You can use anything; if this is to be your only programming project, I suggest VB (did I get it right? You'll learn a whole language for this?).
Search for avicap and vb, and you'll get the source code to a program that will allow you to get access to the TV card...
But why do that? Download the best software for the job:
http://www.dscaler.com/ - Video Watching
http://www.virtualdub.org/ - Video Recording

One more thing; here is a page you'll definately want to look at:

in the code ity would have some code that sets the colour system (like US/Can-NTSC or other countries- PAL, France-SECAM). Then it would have the required vb styatements to interface with card too.
