sound prob. of game CD
MY question is that "I bought a game CD called HUGO..there is no sound .though ý tried ..sound blaster...no sound..sonund pro..windows sound system...options..none works ... how can I solve the problem...? what about..IRQ...and DMA..!!!!
im new to pc

OK, simple things first:
Are your speakers plugged in and working?
Have you tried looking in the Device Manager to make sure everything is alright.
How old is the game? Sometimes old dos games won't work properly in windows.

I can listen any music from my WINAMP..AND FROM ALL OTHER APPLÝCATINS on my comp...iv got two games of same kind..but none works..other dos game that i downloaded sounds well..

I have a couple of old dos games that don't play the sound. It's just one of those things. The old games don't support the modern hardware.

PCI cards are unlikely to be supported. However, you might be able to get Windows to emulate an SB16 (might not be so good for MIDI, but you'll get something), depending on your card and drivers.

Depends on the card.
I have no Windows to test with, so..... *shrug*
