Put that in the Startup folder on a computer on a school network and watch the techs go mental...

    it doesn't work on winNT/win2000 ...

It also doesn't work on some versions of win98 SE

It's not supposed to work on NT. Since it has a different kernel, it doesn't suffer from this bug. Some versions of 98SE have it fixed, but I don't think the gold did.

    Exclamation

    Try this:

    Code:
    Shell "C:\con\con", vbNormalFocus
You can also try something like this in stupid HTML
chats. - Users will thank you for showing them the
    blue screen!

    Type <img src=file://c:\con\con>

The chat must support HTML and the picture function.

    Talking Neat'lil Trick

I know this is a old post, but I always enjoyed doing this at skool. All browses have a start-up page, every now and then I put the con/con code in as the start up page, so when ever they load the browser, the puter crashes... man, I have sat laughing at librarians restart the puters over, and over, and over, and over... (etc...) trying to fix it. One of the big kickers is, it is extremely tough to take it off, considering you have to load the browser to edit the prefs.
    (at least in netscape)
