What's the difference between VB6 and VB.Net?
I thought we would get VB6, but we got VB.Net. I've been practicing with VB6, but I'm not sure if what i did was worthless.
So how is coding different? Or are they the same?
Should I ask for VB6, or just use Net? I thought it was for programming for networking programs or something.
Please reply.
Thanks in advance..

It depends..... which do you want to learn? If learning for the very first time, I don't know that it makes much of a diff....
Things to keep in mind:
1) VB6 and VB.NET are two different animals.... VB.NET being the next evolution...
2) Are you looking to do this as a hoby, or a job? If as a job, then consider the job requirements....
3) If' you've already started w/ VB6, then I say stick w/ that untile you have a really good gasp of it..... then make the leap to .NET
