blackICE
The blackICE firewall by networkice is pretty good...it can tell you what kind of attack a person is trying to carry out on you, it's not free but you can find the crack for it any where.
Also there is a program out there somewhere (sorry i forgot the URL ) called "NukeNabber" and it protects you from nukes.

ZoneAlarm
Best firewall for free is ZoneAlarm I use ZoneAlarm Pro(which isnt free) , it's better than nukenabber, since nukenabber will block ICMP, but it will get nuked, and just remeber who nuked it, so you arnt protected, but you know who did it, ZoneAlarm, blocks all connections, and only allows internet through programs you want to use the internet on.
should be zonealarm.com

You'll hear it's not good enough, because I know you know it can be a pain to get setup at first, also check out the feature listing of Zonealarm pro (you get 10$ off, if you are a user of ZoneAlarm regular) I find it to be very good, in fact, I've tested it numerous times.

I hope that ZoneAlarm is doing a good job. I'm in the same position that you are in ShIzO and I've been using ZoneAlarm (the free version) for about a month. If there's been any problems with someone trying to hack into my system, I haven't known about it!
All the best.

AtGuard (now part of Norton Internet Security) is a damn fine firewall (I use it). I'll post a link in a bit.

Check out Steve Gibson's site at http://grc.com for loads of security-related information (it has a little firewall test as well).
It's here at the moment: http://www.parksie.uklinux.net/build11.zip (but probably not for long)

I've been to that grc site many times, i'm 100% stealth, but waiting for the progie that can test every port, not just the first 1024 ports.

So you're on his mailing list then? That's how I got the link to AtGuard
