    Monitor probs

I was playing a game and my computer crashed. When I restarted i noticed that the screen colours was at 256. I put it back to True Color(32bit) but the colours were still messed up. I now have it on High Color(16bit). I've been through the settings and can't get it back the way it was.
The big problem is, I'm a graphic/web designer and it's causing problems trying to match colours. Any ideas why it got all screwed up and how to get it back to normal?
How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

some games do set the resolution to 640 X 480 and because of that it might have gone to lower colours...

Try to reboot in safe mode and see everything is allright in display settings and then reboot normally...

if the problem remains same uninstall ur graphics card driver and reinstall it...this should do the trick...

after that make sure u change ur game seetings to higher resolution and colour...this may sure degrade the performance but it should be allright with you...won't it...???

    Cheres...

Try changing it to 24-bit (or 32-bit) again. I know my card sometimes has problems switching between 8 and 24 bit.

I got it. I changed the screen resolution to 800x600 and the colour to true color(32bit) then restarted. I was then able to put the resolution back up and the colours are fine again.
Odd, but at least it worked.
