(WinNT4.0 Server) Login screen is larger resolution than after logged in.

On my in house WinNT4.0 Server the login screen is larger resolution than after logged in. It's not that big of a deal but I hate not knowing what happened or how to get it back. The resolution on the admin account (the only one it gets logged into as far as I know) is 1024x768 but the login appears to be at 800x600.
    Any ideas?

Third times a charm right? (if no reply this time I'll give up and throw the server out the window )

I have absolutly no idea as to how or what on your computer, but
they say miserly saves money, so here:

Our comps at work, the login screen is one resolution,
but if you change the res while in windows, then
goto the ctrl+alt+del funtion window, you can see the
resolution "click" to what was originally set when the machine
    turns on.

I'd guess something similar... must be a default setting somewhere...
is the admin account you log into the admin account on the machine, or one of several admin accounts?
    may be a similar deal.

There is more than one admin account but the one called 'administrator' is the only one that is used on that machine.

This is me just guessing on things...

but when you setup a server, it asks for an administrator account..

we normally call it admin. but it could be administrator...

my point is that whoever setup that machine may have entered in
an account that is the administrator, but is not called administrator,
and those settings are at 800x600.

    know what I mean?

when you hit ctrl+alt+del just bring the window up,
    does the resolution change?

yeah (well just on the ctrl+alt+del dialog box (and on the locked / login screens). The oddity of it is that it wasn't like this a few days before the origonal post. There are probably 4 people who use that machine for different things at different times but no one knows what happened.

My guess: someone changed the resolution to 800x600 and
    rebooted it.
then they changed it back to 1024x(wahtever it is).

I would bet if you reboot the machine as is, it will come back up as
    your current (1024xwhatever).
