Create Virtual Dir under IIS
Hi,
can anyone tell me what permissions I would need to be able to create a virtual directory on a Server on LAN running IIS, as our network administrator will only do explicitly requested things and then I can answer his specific questions as what I need him to do.
Cheers,
John.

As administrator he will have administrator rights on the server presumably and should be easily able to create the virtual directory.

Yeah, but I want to be able to create virtual dirs for myself rather than asking him to do that for me - what I need to know is what NT priviledges does he have to set me up with to allow me to do this for myself - he won't figure it out himself.
Cheers.

Well I'm not sure what rights you need I'm afraid. You might need to turn to the IIS documentation.

Yes, I hope I didn't give the impression that I haven't consulted the documentation - I can assure you I have (sometimes feels like thats mainly what I spend my time doing). Its also a problem that the admin is not happy trying several different things one after the other. Just thought someone will know what is needed and tell me.
Many thanks.
