    Unhappy Help



    Please help me i just bought a copy of VB but it wont let me use some of the standard components such as Text Boxes. Every time i try to run the program with the text box i get a msg saying that vb 6 has commited an error and will shut down it also happens when i try to load a program. it only hapens with some of the components.

    You could try installing the latest Service Pack for VB

    And while you are at it, you should install the latest version of MDAC.

    If you are having problems with using the built-in controls like textboxes, then something must have gone wrong during your installation. If you have another version of VB on your PC I suggest you remove it (uninstall it preferably) and then uninstall and reinstall VB6.
