I er broke our server
Well.
This morning I opened up our server, and it was very dusty.
So I decided to get out the hoover, and hoover the inside.
The server won't boot now.
Uhn. I'm in trouble
... but more importantly, I'm hungry. So I'm off to mcdonalds

Wash the processor and RAM with soap and water while you're at it.

We had a customer send a machine back saying it wasn't working. When we opened everthing was covered in mud.
They had a flood then tried to make the machine look ok by cleaning the outside. They must think we are stupid or something.

I can visualise Jamie at the moment, desperately searching through the emptied contents of a vacuum cleaner's bag

Let me guess: you never actually used the computer, and therefore, technically, it never gave you problems.
Right?

lol.. im serious... u just need to make sure there is no static charges left in it... once that is done... a good wash is very helpful. It removes the dust. Dust contains moisture which conducts and could cause a short circuit or fuzzy performance. Washing it gets rid of it... but of course, u have to make sure that its thoroughly dried before switching on the power again.
