    Need information on a "Top"

    I need some information on how a top works but whenever I search for it, it comes up with mostly non-related stuff because of the common word "top". Is there any other technical name for it that I can use? I've tried "Gyroscope" but it's not exactly the same thing.
    BTW, I'm talking about the top which also has a handle and you first move in clockwise to give the spring inside some energy, then you push the button and it'll spin...
