    Is there a limit to the size of an ini file. For example could the ini file end up taking like 50 gb (I know it is unrealistic) of memory and not cause any problems with reading and writing to it?

    No, I had INI-files with approx 20.000 entrys with no problems. It was even faster then I'd expected!

    I believe it is 64K or 84K the same as a notepad .txt file
