    audio not working in win2k

    hi guys,
    Thank you in advance for help.
    I have recently installed win2k on my pc apart from my earlier os win98. The problem I am facing is that any audio fails to work ie not working and says that
    " no audio device installed".

    I can hear only through the CPU. Is there some problem with sound driver. As audio is working fine in my other OS win98.

    Have you checked for an updated driver on your sound card manufacturer's website?

    He said it works fine under Win98 do I don't think it's that.
