File Replication either via VB app or VB Script on Windows 2000 Server
i'm trying to automatically replicate files from a win2k server to a win2k pro workstation, however i cannot use FRS automatticaly as the win2k server isnt an active directory controller, so i'm wondering wether or not a VB app or VB Scripting is able to tell if a file is in use / has a filelock on it, just so as a file still in progress of being copied wont be replicated until the file has finished being copied onto the server from a MAC workstation?
any idea? suggestion? input?
all & any warmly welcomed
Thanx in advance

I am not sure, but trying to open the file in "Append" mode will raise an error if the file has been locked.
But there may be an API call for this. You might try the API Forum
