    Unhappy

I am having a problem in vb6 where I couldn't create an EXE for my program. Everytime I click on the MAKE ..EXE in the file menu, the complier would compile my app but it will not continue to create the execuable file. Anyone knows why this is happening to my program? Should I reinstall VB6?

I notice this problem begins after I try to built a installaion files in Visual Studio Installer (VSI gave me bunch of errors when I built the setup files). Ever since then, I couldn't make an executable file for this program. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Click Make EXE... (or whatever it's called). Than click on Options, click on Compile and change Compile to P-Code to Compile to Native Code.

What kind of error message are you getting?

I once had a similar problem to this and ended up having to re-install Windows!

But before you make a big step like that, try reinstalling VB. If that doesn't work, completely uninstall VB then install it again.

Matthew, I changed to P-Code but still not working.

Interesting thing is that this program is the only one got affected. I am able to compile and make executable file from other vbp.

Change it to Compile to Native Code and it should work fine.

    Lightbulb Here's an ideal

    Hi Can,

Create a new VB project and add your forms, modules, classes, etc. to it from the old project and then see if you can make the Exe.

    All the best.
