    ...who thinks that VB6 is going to be around for many years to come (screw Microsoft Support) and still used extensively for desktop applications?

    A lot of people will still start off on VB6 since the whole OOP deal is too hard for them, but yeah it will be phased out pretty soon in terms of professional/semi-pro applications
