XP and NT4 network
Hello everyone.
I have a problem that is pretty urgent to me.
I need to log onto a NT4 domain with a windows XP client. (Notebook connected to the company NT4 network)

Just tell XP the Workgroup or the Domain of the Network.
Not very difficult.

1) Right CLick My COmputer --> Properties
2) Now Network Identification
3) 2 buttons are there Network ID and something else.
I think it's pretty self explanatory!

Thanks you guys..
well it really is easy... given you use the professional version of XP
the homeediton installed on the freaking expensive sony notebook does not support Domain servers...

not for the home edition
(you can connect, but not be a member of the domain that get's it login data automatically from the server)
but my problem is solved anyways....

You can use a batch file that just calls the NET command.
Use that command to authenticate yourself in the domain and you should be all set
