Have just spent a few hours this morning debugging the code on our web site. Ok what was happening was if some one posted a question, we recorded the date and time then emailed notification of a reply etc, and when they logged back in would reset date and time to check for notification.

Now if they posted twice or more, we would notify them when an answer come in, but if another answer came in it would notify them again cause of the second post...having correctly figured that they hadn't replied from their first post yet. Hence multiple email notifications.

Sorry could probably explain this better, but have been up since 3 am coding......just thought this might be the answer to a reported problem on this site.


Damn....that was all too serious....will try to improve next time.
