    Question thoughts about Co-Op's

I am appling to University this November and was wondering if anyone had any comments or feeings about co-ops?
You know where they give you a job placement for 6 months, durring the time you study.
Does it acually help in the future?
Has anyone acually gone through it?

I have had friends that went through Co-ops while they were going through school and they had no trouble getting a job once they finished their schooling.

The experience really helps and looks good on a resume. Just remember to do something that pertains to what you want to do it will help more.

It helps. Do it if you can.

Just make sure you don't put off the degree too long.
...unless the co-op is good money.

What is your field of study?

Co-Op's are great idea for employment, but I can't help thinking about University being a fun, learning experience in itself and it might detract from that.

It's not so much the partys or getting wildly drunk, for me it was the feeling of having lots of friends around who I could spend time with. (Even if we did spend lots of time in the campus pubs )

I had a year of employement in that way.. as soon as I left Uni I got a phone call offering me a job. It definitely helps your career prospects (and not only with the company you worked with)

Definitely do it if you have the chance. It certainly benefited me, and it was a nice break between studying.
