Using the maximum disk space while burning
I got like 670MB of files and my CD has space for only 650.4 MB (that's what Easy CD Burner estimates). I don't feel like using a new CD for only 20 MB of files and it's also CD-R so I can't change the contents of that CD again. Is there anyway to store all of 670 MB on that CD? I have heard that you can store maximum of about 700 MB on this kind of CD-R...

Thanks...
Well, I just read an article on "Overburning" and it said it's pretty unsafe to do so. The Maxell CD-Rs I have say that're only 650 MB each. I also used a program to check the maximum disk space and it said 76.0.0 compared to the original which is 74.0.0. I then tried burning the files with Nero and it said not enough space...
Sas, whenever I try converting them to RAR, it takes sooooooooo much time that I think it'll take the same to unRar the same files.
I didn't know there were 700 MB CD-Rs. I once bought a package and it said each CD was 700 MB but the maximum I could get was 650 MB...but I guess I'll check it again.
So I should go and buy CDs that are at least 700 MB each?

700 is the max, exept for 800 but those arent in store yet.
and no it wont take so much time to unrar

Nero allows you to overburn cds pretty easily, but you just gotta watch out for how much the laser goes to the edge of the cd, i've overburned to the very edge before, and that's bad cuz the files at the end are corrupt. In my case I've made a music cd that's overburned, and some cd players will play till the end and some won't.

umm one more thing that I've just heard but I'm not sure if it's true: some people say that it might also damage your CD drive itself... not sure if it's true, but I've heard it.... just wanted to let you know
