    comparison

He he, thought this article was funny. Cold Fusion is taking bad about php and how much better their program is... giving examples... yadda yadda yadda.

One important thing they forgot to add is that php is free compared to cf's $799.00 and at least $250 every year or so for upgrades.

Course I'm just a php programmer, I've never done cold fusion, is cold fusion easier to use than PHP? php.net I think allows you to find documentation very easily. But I don't know, maybe cold fusion is better...

Exactly. It'll never be as popular unless they make it completely free.

That page was also written many moons ago, and the page title seems to have remained unchanged from when they did the ASP comparison
The message body could have easily have been hard-coded into the program, but with ColdFusion, using include files can be very beneficial. An include file in ColdFusion is read and interpreted as though it were part of the page, so it is a simple process to add a text file to the body of an e-mail message. In PHP, you have to read the file into an array and then join the array. Newer versions of PHP will include better file handling, however
