I'm running some tests with them now. Trying to break my previous 3DMark score.
Zalman bracket w/Sunon 42cfm strapped on side for benchmarking, I'm seeing what she can do...

Indeed Chris, it has screwed my system up so much. GTA3 won't even run now.
NVIDIA has great drivers? Pfft.

I just re-installed 29.42 which is the one I had before. Seems okay now
I'll have to try GTA3 though...

this is beta..im not gonna bother installing it
i think u should wait for the 'Real' release.. not beta
heres some more info from nvidia.com:
Detonator 40 is the beta graphics driver for all NVIDIA Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). Detonator 40 supports 2D graphics, DirectX 8.1, OpenGL 1.4, nView Desktop Management software version 2.0, NVRotate. NVKeystone, Digital Vibrance Control and includes a new control panel and the CineFX emulator. Through NVIDIA’s Unified Driver Architecture, Detonator software supports all GPUs below in a single driver.

Worked fine for me.. only thing I noticed is that resolutions change faster now...

maybe they will fix the problem i had with my geforce256.
it kept resetting my win xp machine. i had to use an old driver.
and 29.42 wouldnt install AT ALL on my win me one. And YES,
i used the one FOR win me.

UT runs a bit faster than before, framerates in my 2D game (in DirectX8) jumped from 400 to like 410, so it's not THAT much better

oh yeah?? well none of you can compete with my s3 mach 64!
a whopping 2 meg of ram and no 3d acceleration!
(i used to use it for dual displays, and i never throw anything away)
