    Problems with CDONT's

    Hi,

I've got an ASP application that uses CDONT's to send an email to the user once they have sucessfully logged an item on the web site. On the whole this works very well, but from time to time the emails are not sent, but are queued somewhere until the next time the server is rebooted and then they are all sent at once.

It isn't really desirable to have to restart the web server every time this problem occurs as this is our main intranet server. We've checked the NT event log and there's nothing there to indicate what the problem could be.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why we should be having these problems?

    Cheers.

Set all of their priority to the highest and they should be sent as soon as the server can.

    Hi.
I dunno WHY the problem occurs, but have you tried dragging the mails from the Queue directory under inetpub\mailroot (assuming you're using IIS) and dropping them in Pickup (ie move the files)?
