C++ Programs...
are there any good free C++ writing programs out there? If so what are they and where could I find them

Hrmmm... you want a tool like visual basic or something? Try visual c++... see if that's what you wanted.

borland has a free c++ download it's version 3 or 5 one its just old

Actually, the latest Borland compiler is available for free from the web site. Likewise, the VC++.NET Compiler comes with the Framework SDK, which can be downloaded from the MS website. Neither comes with an IDE, you you would ahve to use them from the command line, but they are available.

For free writing programs, look for some editors. A great one is EditPlus, you can download a 30-day trial version for free. It supports syntax markup, text completion, snippet insertion and basic project management.
