Question No sound after stand by

Whenever my laptop goes on stand by, it won't play any sounds after it's restored, unless I restart. Does anyone have any idea why?

    worth a try

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

I've updated the drivers, and installed XP, but it's still the same.

    Check windowsupdate.microsoft.com
I know there were a few bugs regarding things not being turned back on correctly when returning from standby
