Can't shutdown with WinXP
Really XP is a crap!
I have a PC with Windows Xp & Windows Millenuim installed. It does not shutdown through XP. Eventhough the case is ATX, when I choose shutdowm, it just displays "it's now safe to ...", and the computer stucks!
Any ideas ?

Maybe you have a hardware conflict somewhere. When I had Me on my PC it kept giving me a blue screen when I tried to shut down. I think it was the CD-ROM causing the problem, but I just went back to 98 instead.

There is probably an option in the BIOS to allow The operating system (ie Windows) to control power, if you don't have it set then Windows cannot shut down automatically

i'm sure it'd shut down with no case, or any case, in any case...as long as ASPI is being used.
