I posted this on the vb.database newsgroup a few days ago, but no replies.
Does anyone know of a good reference (book, website, etc) that discusses how to best set up and maintain workgroups using MS Access via VB6 DAO
There are various topics in the VB6 help, but I'm having problems putting it all into context.
Thanks
Adrian

Why would you maintain workgroups in VB? Isn't wrkgadm.exe sufficient?

Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm not sure what the wrkgadm.exe file actually does.
What I'm talking about is that within an MS Access database, you can set up Users and Groups and define passwords and various permissions to the underlying records. I am interested in setting and maintaining these User rights via my VB6 app.
The VB6 help does briefly discuss secured databases but I'm looking for more info so that I can put it all together.
Cheers
Adrian.

You're welcome. I did a similar project about a year ago. Sorry I can't let you have any source code - company confidentiality agreements!!!
