Requirements?
What do clients need to run .NET applications?
I want to start in on .NET, but my clients are pretty behind the times, and so I'm stuck with VB6, I guess. Upgrading is not an option, as it's a government job, and they don't know what upgrading is. Minimal upgrades on a one-by-one basis are acceptable, but I want some more info before I go waste my time with .NET.
?

They say that you need win98 or better to run it. So I guess it doesnt run on win95 (your programs, not VS)

The infamous 'they' hey?
This network is all on NT4.0. How will that go? Do I need to install crap on them for stuff to work? Or rather, install anything more than I had to before for VB6 apps?

Umm yes you need to install some crap on them
The only thing that you have to install is a VERY SMALL run time file... it's only 21 MB....(did I mention it's small? )
you can dl the .net framework from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/...mpositedoc.xml

I don't think NT 4 can host ASP.NET or Web Services. Of course I can't seem to find the link to that article right now though.
