If you don't have proof that this thread exists, then I have proved it for one.

You cannot, similarly, prove that the next thread after this exists. Therefore, I have proved that the thread K does not exist.

Also, there is no proof for the next-to-next thread either. So thread K+1 does not exist either.

Hence by induction, I have proved the case for K, and therefore this particular thread.

Conclusion : This thread does not exist.

How can you talk to non-existent people? You talking to them suggests that they do exist. They may not exist in the physical universe; but they must exist on some plane (i.e. your mind). Therefore they do indeed exist...not to me..but to you. As does this thread exist to us all.

This argument is flawed. He may not exist on the level that a person thinks he does. But he does exist on some plane (be it in that persons mind) because he is being consciously thought about and refered to. Existance occurs in many ways.

You can say that you exist, but if you cannot prove that you exist, then you do not. YOU could be the one in my mind, or perhaps these forums are all in my mind.

By your own definition, nothing at all can have an objective reality or being, because EVERYTHING that "exists" is subjective to our perception. It is impossible to have an objective reality, and thus, nothing can exist per your definition.
