    100kms off the coast of Hawaii.

    Depends on the swell, but notoriously big waves are found at Bells Beach, in Victoria, which is on the south coast. Ever seen the movie 'Point Break' with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze in it? The place where Swayze gets killed by a 50ft wipeout is Bells Beach.

    Is Gold Beach (or whatever it is called. Have no idea where it is. Close to Perth ? Am I right ?) one of them ?

    Gold Coast? It's in Queensland. There is one or two places where there are a few waves, but it's pretty ****. The NSW coast is better.
